Welcome to our page, here is a little bit about us

We are Rossendale Responsible Animal Rescue,

We are a group of animal lovers and volunteers who live in and around the Rossendale Valley in the North West.

Our volunteers do various tasks, which include foster care short and long term, final years homes, home checking, potential foster carer checks, lost pet searches, animal rescue, pet temperament assessment, socialisation and basic training, fund raising, support work, drivers, information and advice, scanning.

All of our services are free, although we do charge an adoption fee for our animals.

We raise funds by auctions, sponsorship for various activities including fun runs and just recently a 300 ft bungee jump, and also donation.

All money raised goes towards any medical treatment needed by the animals and is also now enabling us to branch in to saving dogs from the pound before they are put to sleep.

The group was started 4 years ago by Michaela Howard-Holt and has rapidly grown in size and strength. The group now offer several branches of operation.

Our sub branches are-

Rossendale Missing Pets– notifications of lost or found pets pictures and locations, also advice to help you find your lost pet.

Rossendale Responsible Pet Register– for pictures and a description of your pet/s so that if they go missing or are found we can help re unite as quickly as possible.

Rossendale Responsible Animal Rescue– Adverts of pets available or becoming available for their forever homes. Our policy is that pets are registered to RRP for life, and will only be re homed after a successful home check and home trial, if we, you or the pet are not happy we will take them back and re home.

RRAR Auction – Auctions and events to raise vital funds- originally started to raise money for a micro chip scanner, which has enabled us to purchase 6 scanners, train 2 volunteers to chip animals, and helps to pay for neutering, medical treatment and vaccines, and now pound rescue.
